FAQ

What is EGX Rezzed?

What isn't EGX Rezzed. Well it isn't a horse. It is, in fact, a video games event brought to you by the team behind EGX London (formerly Eurogamer Expo). The show floor will be rammed with all manner of playable games and other game related features and attractions. In previous years the event has had a distinctly PC & indie game flavour, however, for 2014 the show has been expanded to include next gen consoles.

2014's event takes place between the 28th and 30th March. The opening times are as follows:

Friday

Day ticket holders: 11am - 7pm
Afternoon ticket holders: 2pm - 7pm

EGX Rezzed 2014 takes place in hall 1 of Birmingham's glorious NEC. The full address is:

National Exhibition Centre
Birmingham
B40 1NT

The NEC is situated adjacent to Birmingham International Rail Station. If you aren't able to get a train directly to Birmingham International you can travel to Birmingham New Street. There is more space for car parking at The NEC than is strictly necessary, seriously, I think it must hold some sort of world record. Parking is completely free. As in no charge. Woo!

I need a place to stay. Any tips?

There are a number of hotels within walking distance of The NEC including:

Are there any age restrictions for EGX Rezzed?

Visitors of all ages are welcome to attend, however, under 16s need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. EGX Rezzed will feature a number of 18+ rated games and developer sessions. Under 18s will not be permitted to play these games or attend these sessions even if they are accompanied by a parent.

What forms of ID do you accept?

We're able to accept any form of photo ID that features your date of birth; passports, driving licenses etc. If you don't fancy bringing your ID a photocopy is acceptable. If you don't have any suitable ID we recommend applying for a citizen card.

Where's my ticket?

We operate an an e-ticket system. Once you've paid for your ticket you should receive an email containing your ticket almost immediately. Please print out this ticket and bring it with you. It'll be exchanged at the registration desk for a wristband. If you've lost your e-ticket, use the form at the top of this page to have it resent. Remember to check your junk mail folder!

I don't have access to a printer, now what?

Write down your ticket number (the long number below the barcode on your e-ticket) and bring it with you. Give the number to the fine people working on the registration desk and they'll locate your ticket on our system. We can also scan tickets from most smartphones.

I have a normal ticket but I'd like to upgrade to a Yogscast ticket, can you help?

No problem! Send us an email and, as long as there are Yogscast tickets available, we'll be happy to upgrade you. Please note, we'll charge you the difference in cost which will come to £28, assuming you're upgrading from a day ticket.

I bought a ticket but now I can't attend. Can I have a refund?

Alas, we aren't able to offer refunds, however, tickets are transferable so feel free to give your ticket to a friend. If you'd like to change the day of your ticket please contact us and we should be able to swap it. Bear in mind that we won't be able to switch the day of a ticket to a day that has sold out.

I just bought a ticket or wristband on eBay / Gumtree / some dude in a pub...

If you purchased your ticket directly from our website you won't have a problem, however, beware! Tickets bought via third parties aren't guaranteed to be valid! Every barcode is unique, if you arrive at our registration desk and the barcode has already been scanned you will be turned away. Never purchase a wristband, it's almost certainly a fake.
